Posted by Heather Davies on June 1, 2008 10:17 PM

The categories, entry guidelines and entry form for this year's Student Radio Awards are now available!

Please read the guidelines carefully as there have been changes made. For example, this year we are trialling an online uploader for your awards entry - this will go live in 2 weeks time and you'll be able to upload your audio and written entry to our system.

The deadline for entry is Wednesday 16th July and remember that your station must be a paid-up member to be eligible. If you are not a member then you have until the 30th June to join.

Stay posted for more information!

Thanks to everyone who came along to the Radio 1 Student Radio Awards last night in central London. I hope everyone had a great night!

The winners list is up on the awards site, and you'll find some official SRA photographs already up too. Thanks to Drew Pyper and Ollie Millington for taking them. There will be many more to come, so keep checking back.

In the meantime, why not add your photo's from the night to our facebook group - here

Thanks again,

Awards Night Info

Posted by Nikki on November 13, 2007 12:08 PM

For all you lucky enough to be in possession of your very own ticket - the Student Radio Awards 2007 takes place this Thursday November 15th. The event begins at 18:30 with a Smirnoff drinks reception. Dinner will be served at 19:15 - so don't be late!

If you're coming to the after-ceremony with the support of Red Stripe, please come along at 10.30. The evening's activities will finish at 2am.

The event is held at the New Connaught Rooms which is right beside Holborn tube station on the Central and Piccadilly lines (and also very near Covent Garden station). Please note there is absolutely no parking space near the venues, nor suitable dropping off space for coaches.

This year is the 40th year of Student Radio, so we're going with a dress code of black tie, and 'wear something red' to tie in with the "Ruby" theme. If you come in a suit rather than black tie we'll let you in if you smile nicely :) You can wear as little or as much red as you like - red dresses right down to a red badge!!

Everyone attending needs to bring ID! Please don't forget.

Can't wait to see you all there!

Ticketing Update!

Posted by Heather Davies on October 30, 2007 10:44 PM

Thank-you for your ticket requests for the 2007 Student Radio Awards. We have been thrilled by the response!

If you haven't yet received confirmation of your places yet, please don't panic. We are currently working around the clock to try to accomodate as many stations as possible, and this may mean that the stations who booked late and in large groups may find their numbers limited slightly. We apologise for this, but as so many stations put requests in all at once, we have to be as fair as possible with our allocations, and give every station a chance to attend. We will be in touch with individual stations over the next couple of days to confirm numbers. Unfortunately, any mail postmarked with a date later than 30 Oct will not be considered.

If you did miss out on the evening ticket, don't stress! We'll be selling "after-dinner" tickets on the SRA website from Monday.

If you'd like to be put on our reserve list for full evening ticket places (dinner and ceremony), please email "reserve" and a list of interested parties to secretary@studentradio.org.uk.

Tickets On Sale

Posted by Nikki on October 27, 2007 05:18 PM

Tickets for the Student Radio Awards 2007 are on sale now!

If you put in your ticket requests before the end of this month (31 Oct) you can take advantage of our early bird offer of £50 per person. Tickets sold after this date will be £59.

Tickets are sold on a first come, first served basis, and as a result, we would encourage you to book your tickets now, ideally as a station (or at least in groups of more than 4), to ensure that you secure your place.

You can download the ticket request form here: oooh, lovely

Please fill this in and return it before the end of the month to secure your place at the awards ceremony and to take advantage of our early bird offer!

The MAXIMUM number of attendees per station is currently set at 40 persons, with 10 to each table. If you would like more of your station to come, please include a seperate sheet with their details on it, labelled "waiting list", and we will do our best to accomodate them. We will take payment at a later date for those on the waiting list who are successful, so don't include them in your total current payment.

If you are NOT currently part of a student station, a different price and form will apply, and this is the lovely form you need...

Contact secretary@studentradio.org.uk if you have any queries relating to ticket purchase, or events@studentradio.org.uk if you have any queries about the ceremony itself.
