Description: Experienced Station Producer
Reporting to: Group Programme Director
Location: Southampton
Objective: To grow audience by assisting in the creation, development and execution of great ideas. Also, guiding the station talent through great overall execution of content to deliver a fun and entertaining listen. Making all on-air audio bites sound great and relevant to product.
Duties:
• Help devise and produce great ideas that make the audience want to come back for more.
• Organise production elements, contestants, competition prizes across the schedule.
• Ensuring the website/online manager is briefed and so ensure on-air and website and in tandem.
• Work with the PD and SPI team, to implement content and promotional mechanics and campaigns, to benefit the client and our audience.
• Work closely with the Group Programme Director, on all aspects of programming.
Key Working Relationships:
• Group Programme Director
• Fellow members of the Programming team.
• SPI team / Sales team.
• Online Content Manager.
Skills:
1. Minimum 2 years radio experience, in relevant role.
2. Proven track record in organisation, execution of ideas and promotions.
3. Advanced knowledge of audio production equipment and relevant software (Adobe Addition).
4. Able to positively manage ‘talent’.
5. An excellent communicator.
6. An ideas person.
7. Experienced in giving and taking direction.
