HFM is the student radio for Hameldon Community College Burnley. Broadcasting 24 hours a day through the college and on the world wide web. The station is run by students for students, meaning the people behind the station understand what the listenership want to hear. With no set format to our live shows our presenters have the chance to try whatever they like, as long as it is legal. HFM studio lies in the very heart of the campus in the Coal Clough building. The stations real presence is felt outside the studio on the campus and the world wide web.

Station Founded 1996
Our first broadcast was an RSL using hired equipment back in 1996. From that starting point we then started to buy our own equipment and have done regular RSL'S ever since. Over the years the college has invested in new equipment and recently we started broadcasting over the internet. We are still developing our website just like the SRA.
