Station Founded 1999

The Bournemouth Internet Radio Station (BIRSt), founded eleven years ago by Prof. Sean Street as part of the design for the MA in Radio Production in the Media School at Bournemouth University. BIRSt has untertaken a rebranding during its relaunch and now showcases content on a new website. The award-winning online radio site is run entirely by students from the MA Radio Production course. This year BIRSt broadens its unique remit by broadcasting high quality music programming as well as speech.
