With the training day fast approaching, we thought we'd give you a little taste of what to expect on the day!

The date and location for the very first training day of 2010/2011 has finally been announced!
The SRA Training Day will be taking place from 12pm on Saturday 4th September 2010 and will be hosted by Xpress Radio at Cardiff University.
The first training event of the brand new academic year will see radio talent and business people attending from across the UK to hold a variety of sessions to help YOU get the most out of your time in student radio.
We have confirmed the attendance of ThePips.co.uk, who are going to hold a session on creating the perfect demo, making the right impressions on the radio industry and will be giving you lots of helpful tips and advice on how to get that all important first job.
We are also pleased to announce that Ignite Creative and Mixcloud will be hosting sessions on interview techniques, production and station sound.
There will also be opportunities to meet other student stations from across the UK, learn how they do things and pick up some tips, and there will also be the opportunity to speak with the SRA executive.
The training day's are always extremely popular,and we have already taken lots of bookings. The training days are completely free to all of our members. This year we only have a very limited number of places for you all to attend, so if you want to come along you need to book asap!
You need to send your name, the name of your station and a contact email/telephone number to Sarah by 5pm Wednesday 1st September 2010 to book your place on the training day. Places will be given out first come, first served.
