Ofcom has published a new guidance for radio broadcasters on the use of offensive language.

If your student station has an Ofcom licence to broadcast on FM/AM/LPAM you may wish to read up on some guidence from Ofcom about the use of offensive language.

While the rules havent changed Ofcom have published a guide to try to make it clearer.

Particular focus is given to:
 
·         lyrics in music tracks;
·         live music performances/interviews/studio conversation; and
·         speech and comedy content.
