How do you introduce a band like Bambix? We are tempted to say not at all as the three-piece from Nijmegen, Holland surely doesn’t need any silly introductions any more. But just for the fun of it, here are some buzzwords for you: Punkrock, Energy, a charismatic female voice and great, great melodies is what Bambix is all about. Bambix certainly is one of the best female fronted punk outlets on this planet.
Within Temptation is a Dutch symphonic metal band formed in 1996 in Waddinxveen, Netherlands. The group consists of Sharon den Adel (vocals), Robert Westerholt (guitars), Jeroen van Veen (bass), Martijn Spierenburg (keyboards), Ruud Adrianus Jolie (guitars) and Mike Coolen (drums). Despite being labeled by the media as a gothic metal band, Within Temptation consider themselves "more a symphonic rock/metal band ... we are... no gothic band".
There are at least 4 bands / artists called Trace. One were a 1970s progressive rock band from Holland, another a pop group from Germany. The third is a drum and bass producer / DJ. And the fourth is a un-signed alternative/electric band in the area of huddersfield 1) Rick van der Linden's father was a pianist, so it was not a surprise that young Rick took piano-lessons. Later he started to learn playing the organ and finally he went to the Haarlem Conservatory. He played in many bands and nightclubs and was impressed by Brian AUGER and Keith EMERSON.
Monique Smit, was born in Volendam on 9 April 1989. She's a dutch Singer and hairstylist. She is best known from the dutch tv show "Gewoon Jan smit". A real life soap about her brother Jan Smit, who is a famous singer in The Netherlands and Germany. Monique Smit took part in a tv-show called 'Just the two of us', in which she had to sing duets with singer Xander de Buisonjé. This is where she first started singing. Monique and Xander didn't win the show, but became 2nd. However, Monique did end up recording a single.
There are at least 2 Bands called Solution. 1.) Jazz-rock group Solution started out in 1966 as an R&B-band, Soulution. In the beginning, this group from Groningen consisted of Tom Barlage (sax and flute, started in 1964 in the Rene Five and Keys), Willem Ennes (keyboards, ex-Roden Rockers), Ad Kooi (bass, in 1970 to Railway and replaced by Peter van der Sande, ex-Focus, to Lynx, himself replaced by Gus Williams), Ap Alberts (s, ex-Keys, later in Nicky & Shouts, only 1966)...
