La Roux are an English electropop duo formed in 2008 in London, United Kingdom. The band consists of Elly Jackson (born 12 March 1988; singer and keyboardist) and Ben Langmaid (co-writer and co-producer). Their music is largely influenced by 80s pop music including Eurythmics, Depeche Mode, The Human League, Heaven 17, Yazoo and Prince. The name La Roux (pronounced lah-roo) is reported to be chosen when Elly found it in a book of baby names. La Roux comes from the mix of the French masculine word for "redhead" and the feminine article for "the", referring to Jackson's distinctive hairstyle.
Miike Snow is an electropop band from Stockholm, Sweden formed in 2007, consisting of American songwriter Andrew Wyatt and Swedish producers Christian Karlsson and Pontus Winnberg. Their eponymous debut album was released in 2009 to much critical acclaim, with the lead single 'Animal' appearing on shows such as Gossip Girl. While you may not have recognized Karlsson and Winberg by their full names, you may have heard their work as production duo Bloodshy & Avant.

An active singer since before 2005, her breakthrough came in early 2009 after appearing on Flo Rida's number one single Right Round. Ke$ha later supported Calvin Harris on tour in the UK and toured with Mickey Avalon in the US. She also performed at Madison Square Garden on December 11, 2009 for the Z100 Jingle Ball. She was announced as one of the acts for the 2010 revival of Lilith Fair and presented at the 52nd Grammy Awards.
Ladytron are an electronic music group formed in 1999 in Liverpool, United Kingdom. The band is composed of Helen Marnie (lead vocals, synthesizers), Mira Aroyo (vocals, synthesizers), Daniel Hunt (synthesizers, guitar) and Reuben Wu (synthesizers). Their sound can be described as electropop mixed with new wave and shoegaze elements. They took their name from the song "Ladytron" by Roxy Music. According to Brian Eno, once a Roxy Music member, Ladytron are "the best of English pop music".
Ladyhawke is the stage name of the singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Phillipa 'Pip' Brown (born in 13 July 1979 in Masterton, New Zealand). She can play electric, bass and acoustic guitars, synthesizers and drums. Pip tours with a live band, but in studio she plays all the instruments. Influenced by 80s music, her musical style blends new wave, indie rock and electropop. She is best known for the singles "Paris Is Burning" and "My Delirium".
