Top class comedian Russell Howard is topping the bill at a Bradford Students’ Union comedy extravaganza in order to raise money for student radio station RamAir.
RamAir celebrates its 30th anniversary in October, and to celebrate this historic landmark it hopes to move into new studios in the new Students’ Union building.
It aims to raise £40,000 in order to secure the new studio and state-of-the-art equipment, and the Students’ Union has organised a comedy event to help RamAir reach this total. The night, taking palce on Saturday 14th August, is just one of many events the SU has organised, and showcases up and coming comedian talent, such as Alun Cochrane, Tom State and Chris Ramsey.
The two-hour comedy night will be headlined by Russell Howard, of Mock the Week fame, and will also feature Edward Gamble, of the Peacock and Gamble podcast, Steve Hall, as seen on BBC3 show We Are Klang, and Dan Atkinson, who has been the warm-up for hit shows including Never Mind the Buzzcocks.
RamAid is looking for sponsorship to help reach its total. You can find out how you can help, or more about the events for RamAid, by emailing the Students’ Union. For more information, and for tickets to the comedy events, visit the website.
