The winners of the I Love Student Radio Awards 2011 supported by Absolute Radio were announced at the National Student Radio Conference at the University of Hertfordshire.

The I Love Student Radio Awards took place on Tuesday 19th April at the University of Hertfordshire, in amongst an array of sessions at the National Student Radio Conference.

The Awards, supported by Absolute Radio, are designed to recognise talent, dedication and commitment behind the microphone, and include categories such as Volunteer of the Year, Charity Champion and Outstanding Contribution to Student Radio and Station Manager of the Year.

Absolute Radio’s Iain Lee was compere for the event, adding cheeky charm and wit to proceedings and getting the crowd excited and in the mood.

Spark FM took centre stage, being recognised in three categories, as well as having a member of their station win The Hits Radio competition to broadcast a month of Sundays on the national station.
