URN are attempting to dethrone BBC Radio 1Xtra’s Guinness World Record for the ‘Longest Club DJ Session Relay’.
1 year and 4 days after BBC Radio 1Xtra set the new mark, URN are attempting to smash it and send it into three digits – 100 DJs, 100 tracks – Beat That!
The record attempt involves a relay of 100 DJ’s beatmatching individual tracks consecutively to form one continuous mix, thus beating BBC Radio 1Xtra by 18 DJs.
The World Record attempt is being hosted by URN in The Den, Nottingham Students’ Union’s club on University Park. the attempt will be broadcast live on URN, the official student radio station for the University. URN is a well-established student radio station available to the 30,000 students on www.urn1350.net. The event is open to everyone, students and Nottingham residents alike. Entry is free but any donations made will be given to the charity ‘Don’t Lose the Music’, promoting the protection of hearing whilst enjoying music.
