The results of the University of Edinburgh FreshAir’s annual Christmas awards are announced on Tuesday and they’re hosted by Capital FM Scotland’s Controller Stuart Barrie and Drivetime presenter Garry Spence.

It’s always great to recognise and rewards those who have gone above and beyond to make their student radio station the best it can be. Step up FreshAir, who every year host their annual Christmas awards – but this year they have been revamped to be more meaningful and professional than ever before. The Edinburgh based station will announce the winners of the awards this Tuesday at their Christmas meal, at a special ceremony hosted by Capital Controller Stuart Barrie and Drivetime presenter Garry Spence.

There are eleven categories in the awards, in which everything from Best Specialist Show to Best Entertainment Show, from Best Newcomer to Best On-Air Duo are recognised. There is even a category for the Best Dressed member of the station! The categories of Best Male and Best Female also come with the added bonus that the winners will have a chance to go to Capital FM Scotland and record a show after a masterclass with Gary Spence.
