In aid of Rainbows Children’s Hospice, Demon FM’s Ed Crofts and Neil Kewn are broadcasting for 30 hours, starting at 7am on Thursday morning…
It’s RAG Week at De Montford University this week, and Demon FM are doing their part by raising money throughout the week in a series of special broadcasts! (Turns out RAG stands for ‘Raising and Giving’ – who knew? Oh. Just me.) Thursday of this week is no exception. Demon FM’s Ed Crofts and Neil Kewn are broadcasting for 30 hours straight, taking part in a number of challenges in order to raise money for a good cause.
The show involves being broadcast from the gym at the University, and I have been assured that there are going to be awful treadmill challenges for Ed.
The broadcast starts at 7am on Thursday the 7th of February and will finish at 1pm on Friday. Be sure to visit their Facebook page to keep up-to-date on the charitable goings-on!
In the meantime, here’s Emma’s handy checklist to staying awake for 30 hours:
- Coffee, tea and Weetabix (obvious, but essential).
- Red Bull (only to be drunk with a couple of hours to go. You don’t want to suffer a sugar crash! That’s all hope gone. Devastating.)
- Some good ‘power’ music (on loud). Eye of the Tiger is highly recommended. The Final Countdown is also a good choice. These should be played every hour, on the hour. Lana Del Rey is banned. Sorry Lana fans.
Have a fun broadcast everyone!
