Demon FM raise money for MacMillan Cancer and the Nottingham Hospitals Charity Research Fund.
Over the next few days, Demon FM are raising money for two very worthy causes by doing a broadcast which is half Big Brother, and half I’m A Celebrity!
Twenty presenters are locking themselves in the John Sandford gym (of Student Radio Conference 2013 fame) for 48 hours, and letting the audience choose which presenters (in pairs) are to be let on-air. The remaining 18 presenters will then be made to do bizarre and odd challenges – giving them huge incentives to try and be the next presenters chosen!
After 24 hours, pairs will be voted out of the gym so that by the end of the broadcast, there are two presenters left.
You’ll be able to hear the whole event on Demon FM and Demon TV are streaming the whole thing live!
Station Manager at Demon FM, Ed Crofts, says:
“We really wanted to push the boat out this year and do something different. The last two years we’ve done marathon shows but only involving two presenters, who we chose. This year we’ll have twenty presenters and you choose!”
The show starts on the 28th of January at 11am. To join in with the conversation, use the hashtag #GetMeOnAir and follow @DemonFM on Twitter. Here’s the link to follow if you’re feeling generous and want to donate to two worthy causes!
We love this idea of this broadcast, and we wish the team at De Montfort University all the very best for the next two days!
