DemoFactor
Demo Factor is a National Student Radio Conference staple –  it is your opportunity to get your demo heard by some of the best in the business, and get them to critique it. But beware… they’ll do this live on stage in front of the conference audience!
.
By taking part you will get the opportunity to have your demo heard by some of the industry’s finest, and receive feedback then and there – you might blow them away (or… you might not!).
The Demo Factor judges at #SRACon at Exeter 2015

We’ve just found out the full line up for the 2016 at Cardiff University, and we’re really happy to announce that this year it will include Gem 106’s Amy Voce!

Amy has won Sony Awards for her presenting, along with co-presenters Sam Pinkham and Dangerous Dave.

This year’s judges will also include Chris North (North Media Talent), Rob Watson (Exec Producer, Capital XTRA), Paul Sylvester (Content Director, Absolute Radio) and Jordan North (Presenter, Rock FM and BBC Radio 1).

The whole night will be hosted by Vicki Blight (BBC Radio Wales) – and seeing as she’s an Xpress Radio graduate herself, that’s pretty much perfect 🙂

Your Demo should be in MP3 format and ideally less than 8MB.
It doesn’t matter how long your demo is, the judges will push their buzzers when they would stop listening if they were looking to hire a presenter.
.
Important Dates
The closing date for entries will be 3pm on the Wednesday of #SRACon.
For any questions, please tweet @DemoFactor

When the lights change… your time in the limelight is up!

One final thing – your station MUST be a member of the SRA for you to enter Demo Factor. (Or you can be an individual member.) We will not stop you uploading your entry to the Demo Factor website, but if you are not a member then we can’t play them out on the night, so please check with your station manager that they have renewed. Thank you!
