This is one of those rare times of year where a multitude of jobs and work experience opportunities pop up at the same radio station. Last month it was Magic FM, and this month we’re focusing our attention over to Kiss, who look like they’re doing a small hiring-spree. Most of these jobs are entry-level or graduate-level and therefore very much suited to our members, but I’ve popped in a couple of jobs that might appeal to those of you with a bit more experience behind your name too!

Social Media Assistant – Work Experience – KISSChosenOne

Are you fun, confident, enthusiastic and passionate about KISS?

We are looking for Social Media Assistant to join us at one of our most exciting events this September; The Kiss Chosen One.

The KISS Chosen One is all about finding a new Kiss presenter! Hundreds of hopeful applicants join us at a central London location to take part in live auditions in the hope of making it through to the next stage of the competition.

You’ll be based on location to gain experience as you assist the KISS and Gumtree Social Media Managers, gaining insight into creating the right content to be shared with for the right audience for the brands across our digital platforms.

The successful applicants will:-
• Have a proven interest in the following areas; Social Media, Marketing, Communications
• Demonstrate passion for different social media channels and their community members
• Have good attention to detail and great communication skills
• A self-starter who excels in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
• Excellent communicator and creative thinker

In return you’ll receive experience working at one of the biggest station events alongside experts in the field. We’ll cover expenses such as travel, food and beverages.

Social Media Assistant – Work Experience – KISSChosenOne

We are looking for four people to join the KISS street team at one of our most exciting events this September – The Kiss Chosen One.

The KISS Chosen One is all about finding a new Kiss presenter! Hundreds of hopeful applicants join us at a central London location to take part in live auditions in the hope of making it through to the next stage of the competition.

At the event, the KISS street team work as on-the-ground ambassadors for the brand and client. You’ll be the first point of contact for our audience. Therefore you’ll need to be:-

• Passionate and confident about KISS, whilst also representing our associated partners and clients
• You’ll enjoy working as part of a team, whilst also using your own initiative
• Be confident within and public arena – you’ll be keeping them entertained and informed!
• Be over 18 (and have the required identification to prove this)

The street team’s responsibilities will include:-

• Keeping people informed, entertained and energy levels high
• Being the first point of contact for the public, representing both the brand and client
• Conducting on-site promotions and helping to communicate our partner’s key message
• Supervising prize inventory as well as awarding of prizes at events
• Winner prize fulfilment and release forms
• Helping to manage the contestants from arrival through to their auditions with some admin responsibilities (registrations / guest list)

In exchange, you will be part of one the brands biggest events, receiving a competitive daily rate and food/beverages on the day and you may even be asked to join us at additional station events in the future.

Junior Web Developer – Closing date – Friday 22nd July

To carry out the developement work for multi-platform branded-content campaigns, on Digital for Kiss, Magic, Grazia, Grazia, Heat and Closer.You’ll work closely with the Bauer Advertising & Content Teams to deliver innovative,branded content solutions that work for the agency, client & content teams.

The main purpose of the role is to ensure that we continue to uphold a reputation in the market for the speedy, efficient delivery of exceptional campaign service on all of our creative partnerships. Each project requires a different focus and expertise, no two days are the same.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

FRONT-END
• HTML5
• CSS3
• JavaScript
• jQuery
• JSON

BACK-END
• Object Orientated PHP Programming
• MySQL
• Linux/command line experience

IN ADDITION TO THESE QUALITIES, YOU’LL BE ABLE TO DEMONSTRATE THE FOLLOWING:
• Good knowledge of relational databases, version control tools and of developing web services
• Experience in common third-party APIs (google, facebook, twitter etc)
• Strong problem solving skills
• Good understanding of JavaScript Objects, creating jQuery plugins, and fixing bugs with jQuery plugins
• Communication skills – ability to explain technical concepts to the team or others across the business

DESIRABLE SKILLS
• Experience with Laravel
• Adobe Creative Suite
• Managing Amazon Web Services (S3, CloudFront, RDS & EC2)
• nginx server configurations

Music and Content Producer – Closing date – Friday 22nd July

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Music and Content Producer to join the Kiss team. This role will be assisting the Network Head of Music and Group Programme Director and will be responsible for scheduling music and creating content on the Kiss network to the highest standards.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:
Scheduling of music on the Kiss Network
Dealing with record companies on artist promotion
Be involved in the weekly pluggers’ appointments when needed
Covering the Network Head of Music when on holiday
Provide support to all areas of Programming across all parts of Kiss
Creating production content for shows within the Kiss Network
Writing/scripting, in studio producing, editing and building shows on the Kiss Network
Producing on the main Kiss Network, which could include live shows and automation
Initiating programming ideas
Reconciliation of all PRS and PPL reports for Kiss with other members of the team.
Working with Social Media Producer and Online to seed content.

Skills and Competencies:
Excellent digital editing skills
Proven ability to supervise and direct on air talent
Essential ability to develop good relationships with Programming team and presenters
Sufficient understanding of the music returns process to PRS and PPL
Good attention to detail
Strong interpersonal skills
Organisational skills and ability to prioritise different tasks

Qualifications and knowledge:
Essential Excellent knowledge of RCS Selector systems (G Selector an advantage)
Excellent knowledge of playout systems (e.g. Zetta/Dalet)
Strong music knowledge across the Kiss format
Solid knowledge of, and active participation, in social media networks
