Bad Sounds are definitely one band coming out the South West destined for big things in 2018. Hailing from Bath, the land of URB, the guys and girl of Bad Sounds are yet to treat us with their debut album, but 2017 saw them release two EPs, firstly ‘PHRESSSH’ before ‘Mixtape One’ in September. However, arguably the most breakthrough moment of their year came with the release of , ‘Are You High?’. The single earned Bad Sounds a consecutive ‘Hottest Record in the World’ title from Radio 1’s Annie Mac, preparing them for 2018 playlist domination.

Bad Sounds’ creative flair spans further than the music , producing great videos for their singles so far. This has inevitably grabbed the attention of MTV and the folks there placed Bad Sounds on their “#BrandNew for 2018” shortlist – it’s not just SRA that are loving these guys.

Lastly, make sure getting to a Bad Sounds show is one of your new year’s resolutions. The energy this fivesome has is immense and as this band’s stature grows, the gigs will only become more of a spectacle. Bad Sounds toured throughout 2017 and are expected to do so next year (so look out for a tour announcement!) along with a busy festival schedule.

We’re hopeful that 2018 will see Bad Sounds release that debut full-length album but we’re almost certain to get some tracks in the new year, which you’ll undoubtedly hear on your favourite SRA station. I may be bias with my loyalties in Bath, but I pledge you to join the band’s journey before they explode to festival mainstagers.
