Bauer are looking for the next generation of female production talent for unique apprenticeship opportunities inside Bauer Media, starting in November 2018.
The Bauer Academy will be running some short Finding Talent courses in Manchester and Birmingham to help identify and nurture key production talent for their radio division, with a view to expand the programme into other areas of Bauer into 2019.
The Finding Talent courses are aligned to Bauer Media’s Diversity Policy, helping to remove barriers to employment for underrepresented groups by creating unique opportunities. A recent Ofcom study showed that women are particularly underrepresented in programming roles within the radio industry. As such, this year their Finding Talent campaign is focussed on increasing the number of women working within radio.
Successful applicants will take part in an open day / taster session, from which a maximum of 6 people will be selected to go through a selection process, including an interview stage, with three participants being offered a one year content creation apprenticeship within Bauer (two based at Hits Radio, Manchester and one at Free Radio, Birmingham).
