The Student Radio Association is run entirely by dedicated volunteers who are elected annually. All of the roles are incredibly rewarding and great fun. They also require a significant time commitment, and you will need to give some consideration to this before applying; especially in light of any other commitments that you may have (for instance, running your station or finishing your degree!)

A wide range of positions are available for election:

Executive Officers act as directors of the organisation and look after the day-to-day running and oversight of the Association and its activities. All member stations are eligible to vote for Executive Officers.

Regional Officers are responsible for representing the Student Radio Association and its members in a specific geographical region. These Officers are elected by the members in their own region.

How to apply:

The deadline for nominations for Executive and Regional Officers is 5.00pm on the 15th April.

If you would like to stand for election, please nominate yourself by sending your manifesto on a single A4 page to:
returning.officer@studentradio.org.uk.

Your manifesto should explain your reasons for running as a candidate, highlight the skills that you can bring to the role and include examples of any relevant experience. You may also want to include any ideas that you have for the year ahead.

Please ensure that it fits on to a single side of A4, and send it as either a Microsoft Word or PDF document. Other formats may not be accepted.

You may also apply for the following non-elected positions:

Administrative Officers are tasked with looking after a specific project or activity, or deputise for Executive Officers. This group of officers are appointed by the Executive Committee based on a fair application process, rather than elected.

How to apply:

The deadline for Administrative Officer applications is 9.00am on the 29th April.

If you would like to apply for one of these positions, please send your manifesto on a single A4 page to:
