The Student Radio Association is looking to appoint someone to the Administrative Officer role of Technical Officer.

The Technical Officer manages the SRA’s digital hardware and software assets, as well as providing support and advice for student stations. They are responsible for managing, maintaining and developing a wide variety of online resources and systems for the benefit of The Student Radio Association and its members.

The Technical Officer will take a lead role in the technical production of events such as the Student Radio Awards and the Student Radio Conference. An important element of this role is being able to support member stations in their technical endeavours, assisting to resolve any issues they may come across. Also being able to maintain a network of technical connections and professionals, as well as a network of representatives from member stations in order to provide the best support possible.

A strong level of IT proficiency is required, familiarity with Google Apps and a good understanding of CSS applications.  Also, a strong understanding of custom WordPress Installations would also be of a benefit to the role.

This is a voluntary position and you should expect to contribute approximately 5-10 hours a week. This will vary throughout the year and the workload is often more demanding in the run-up to our big events. We will cover all expenses that you incur in undertaking your role.
