About Fly FM

Fly FM is the official student radio station of Nottingham Trent University Students Union, broadcasting to all 3 campuses and over 27,000 students. From October 2011 to November 2013, we broadcast live from studios on Alfreton Road. Before, we had been located for many years in the former City campus Students Union building, Byron House. Fly FM originates back to 1996, under its previous name Kick FM, which started broadcasting from the original studios in Byron House. Fly launched into its current online format in 2007 and has since seen a string of success at the Student Radio Awards with 15 awards being brought back. Since 2007, Fly FM has been on air during every day of every term and covers most events; whether they be Varsity or the NTSU Exec Elections, no matter what it is, we will be there covering it. In November 2013 we moved into brand new studios in the heart of the SU, and that same month took home 5 Gold student radio awards. "
