Latitude Radio - University of Greenwich
Where is Latitude Radio?
About Latitude Radio
Latitude Radio is by the students, for the students broadcasting 24/7 at the University of Greenwich. Giving students the chance to have a good laugh whilst gaining hands-on media experience.
Latitude Radio existed as a society long before beginning to broadcast - however in 2011 the station management team made significant headway in securing equipment and knowledge needed to take the station live, and in the 2012-13 academic year Latitude Radio began broadcasting! Working in partnership with the Students' Union, the station management broadcast through the SUUG.co.uk website, and cemented their place as an important part of the student media offering at Greenwich by additionally covering special events such as Officer elections hustings and results. In 2013-14 the station management are keen to keep Latitude Radio developing, and have already taken massive steps forward - securing a new studio in the SU building, new outdoor broadcasting equipment thanks to the University Alumni Fund, ensuring they are broadcasting 24hours during term, and starting the Latitude Live Sessions for upcoming artists.
