[Nikki] February 26, 2008 09:22 AM Hearing Aid Update!

Hearing Aid 2008 is just a fortnight away and for the past few weeks we've been frantically recruiting student stations to get on board. I'm pleased to say that we now have 15 stations hosting events of some kind, up 6 from last year, which means we're well on course to make this the biggest event of its kind in the history of UK student radio. It also means we're well on course to beat last year's fundraising total of just over £5000.

The Hearing Aid stations for 2008 are:
Burn FM, Birmingham
Demon FM, De Montfort
Fly FM, Nottingham Trent
Frequency 1350, UCLAN
Fresh Air, Edinburgh
LCR 1350AM, Loughborough
Livewire 1350AM, UEA
LUSH, Leicester
RaW 1251am, Warwick
Smoke Radio, Westminster
STAR Radio, St Andrews
Surge, Southampton
1449 URB, Bath
URY, York
Xpression FM, Exeter

The full website, www.hearingaid2008.com, will be up and running in the next couple of days. In the mean time, if you go there now it will take you straight to the online donation page, kindly provided by the Mental Health Foundation. Here you can find out a little more about the three good causes, and contribute to our efforts with your credit or debit card! All money donated on this page will be distributed evenly among the three projects, and every penny will go straight to the people who need it. Please give generously, and don't forget to Gift Aid your donation!
