Student radio station Subcity has suspended a programme in which the presenters claimed to be drinking a litre of tequila, used numerous swear words and explicitly discussed sexual activities.
During the last edition of "Party Party", transmitted between 2100 and 2200 GMT on Sunday night, the presenters claimed to be drinking a litre of tequila, used numerous swear words and explicitly discussed sexual activities.
The station manager is carrying out an investigation into the broadcast and Subcity has removed details of the show from the station's website.
Though the presenters promoted the responsible drinking website Drinkaware once, they repeatedly encouraged listeners to drink a shot of spirits for every tune they played.
The Student Radio Association are supporting the station as they undertake an internal investigation, and we are available to support other member stations with their disciplinary procedures if you contact us.
Aside from the suspended show, the rest of Subcity is continuing to produce the quality specialist music content for which it is renowned.
